ICON is pleased to welcome seven businesses to the newly launched ICON Business Coalition. After rolling out in May, the ICON Business Coalition is a new pathway for businesses of all sizes, industries and regions to directly impact the future of Fighting Illini Athletics.
Whether it be making an appearance at a customer appreciation event, recording a promotional video for social media, or helping spread the word about an innovative new product or service, Illini student-athletes are well-equipped to capture the attention of a business’s target audience. By creating these memorable experiences, the ICON Business Coalition members will build relationships between Illini athletic programs and those that support them. In addition to connecting businesses with their favorite student-athletes through various types of activations, membership to the ICON Business Coalition also provides valuable marketing exposure for businesses through sponsored online content and access to unique event experiences – perfect for entertaining customers and colleagues.

The ICON Business Coalition is the second membership program that ICON has launched in the last year. ICON for Illini is a membership program geared toward individuals and families, providing tangible and experiential benefits at each of the five (5) levels of participation.
Both ICON for Illini and the ICON Business Coalition provide robust NIL opportunities to Fighting Illini student-athletes and help our programs recruit and retain elite-level talent. Although the world of NIL continues to evolve, it remains imperative that ICON creates new ways for fans, supporters, and community members to be involved while the current NIL model is in place.
